Hello Magic The Gathering fans! If many of you haven’t known about the new multiplayer product that Wizards is coming out with now its time to look at them! Today MTGG covers the basics of Archenemy!

Archenemy is meant as a multiplayer format. What happens is that you and 2-4 opponents will play in a massive 2 Headed-Giant game! You will use your Archenemy deck and go first. You and your opponents play as a usual game but you start at 40 life and each of your opponents will start at 20. I know this may sound as a disadvantage but the Archenemy decks are meant to handle this many opponents!

You start out the game since you are the Archenemy. After your upkeep and draw phase comes you main phase this is were your oversize deck of 20 Archenemy cards come into effect. These cards are known as “schemes” and act as spells. So since the Archenemy schemes act as spells your opponents can play instants and abilities in response to your scheme. This could mean that your scheme could get negated and such.

There is a few different kinds of Archenemy schemes that might help you out when you play Archenemy. Ongoing schemes play out until the scheme says it needs abandoned, this can be simple such as a creature going to the graveyard. Please note that all other schemes unless printed on the card are put on the bottom of the scheme deck once they resolve just like any other spell.

The game plays out normal from there One vs. Many. The Archenemy deck could also be played against EDH decks as well. Also another format with Archenemy were everyone plays scheme deck! Stay tuned to Magic The Gathering Games to find decklists on the new Archenemy!

Hello everyone, today MTGG is going to be covering a deck that seems to be catching on very quickly in the metagame. Some of you might not have seen Bant in the metagame until this deck! The decklist is expensive yes but its well worth it to build. I’ve played using the deck and its yet to lose!

Mythic Bant Decklist

Lands ~25~

2 Verdant Catacombs

4 Forest

1 Arid Mesa

2 Plains

2 Island

1 Sejiri Steppe

2 Stirring Wildwood

2 Sunpetal Grove

3 Celestial Collonade

1 Glacial Fortress

4 Misty Rainforest

1 Tectonic Edge

Creatures ~28~

4 Birds of Paradise

4 Noble Hierarch

4 Lotus Cobra

4 Knight of the Reliquary

4 Dauntless Escort

4 Baneslayer Angel

4 Sovereigns of Lost Alara

Spells ~7~

1 Elspeth, Knight-Errant

3 Jace, the Mindsculptor

1 Gideon Jura

2 Eldrazi Conscription

Sideboard

2 Rhox War Monk

4 Kor Firewalker

2 Path to Exile

4 Negate

1 Deprive

2 Oblivion Ring

Win Condition

So as I said this is a great deck. Its a aggro deck with subtle combo. For the most part when you get your hand you want to make sure you have at least 2-3 mana ramp cards. The next thing that is key to the deck is that you have Sovereigns of Lost Alara. The Sovereign is key to the deck without it the deck wont run as good. Once you get Sovereigns out there then it doesnt matter what you swing with just attack alone! Then Sovereigns of Lost Alara’s ability comes into effect go through your deck find a aura and attach it to that creature. So go find Eldrazi Conscription and put it on the attacking creature. So regardless they are will take some damage and they will sacrifice 2 permanent because of annihilator! This is the Win Condition of the Deck

Back-Up Plans

Most of you right now must be pretty skeptical about pulling this combo off. I was too at first but then I looked at the decklist again. Dauntless Escort is a very vital card for this deck. Why? Because he protects your creatures from cards like Terminate and Day of Judgement! Also if they have removal that Dauntless Escort cant protect you from sideboard in negate and deprive! This should help you keep your Sovereign and the equipped creature alive! If their deck is has too much removal that disables you from pulling off the combo then thats fine you have Baneslayer Angel and Knight of the Reliquary to help you out with killing your opponet!

I hope you all enjoyed the Mythic Bant decklist! There is much more to come here at Magic The Gathering Games so keep coming back to check out the latest news and updates on Magic The Gathering!

Hello MTGG fans, I hope you enjoyed the Japanese Green decklist we released to you yesterday. This week we are trying to expand more and more on our decklists! Today I bring you a popular decklist from inside the metagame Blightning Deck Wins!

4 Searing Blaze

Sideboard

4 Deathmark

4 Goblin Outlander

2 Terminate

Win Conidition

This is a great deck and any Magic The Gathering player should be able to figure out how to play it but in case you don’t heres the rundown. The deck is all burn you want to destroy your opponent. There is a few tough choices in the deck though you need to learn whether or not you should keep that lightning bolt in your hand for a creature thats in the way or to bolt them. These are things you will learn with the deck the more you play with it. The original Blightning Wins Deck decklist is alot more expensive I tried to tone it down a bit to make it more on the budget for those of us who cant afford to buy a expensive deck. This was hard to do to keep the decks quality so its still expensive deck but well worth it.

Sideboard

I’ll explain why the cards in the sideboard are necessary before you think they don’t fit the deck. Quenchable Fire, perfect burn card against blue. Deathmark, even though there is burn to remove creatures with you rather use that on the players life, besides the amount of green and white decks that are played you will make use of this card. Goblin Outlander, perfect against white especially a way to get passed wall of omens.

I hope you guys enjoy this decklist if you have the time and money to build it, it can be a great deck! Look out tomorrow for Blue White Red Control Decklist!

Hello everyone today Magic The Gathering Games would like to talk with you guys about the origins of Zendikar. Daily MTG did a segment about it today but we would like to just do a little recap also spoiled Sarkhan the Mad!

Zendikar the newest block out right now in standard. Zendikar was not what it used to be, Zendikar was once a peaceful plane. Until the day the Eldrazi came. See the Eldrazi are not a natural creature (if you would call it that) in Zendikar. The Eldrazi are creatures that roamed in the Blind Eternities. This allowed the Eldrazi to travel wherever they wanted in the multiverse they feed off of mana and strong energies among the planes.

Long ago the Eldrazi selected the peaceful plane of Zendikar to be their next victim of utter chaos. Three planeswalkers made a tough decision of what to do about the Eldrazi so they wouldn’t cause anymore damage to other planes. These three planeswalkers were Ugin a spirit dragon, Sorin Markov vampire, and a lithomancer (daily mtg failed to release his name maybe he is the well known Gideon?). These three planeswalkers decided to trap the Eldrazi in Zendikar forever disabling them to go back to the Blinding Eternities.

The planeswalkers lured them to the strong mana plane of Zendikar in attempt to destroy them. They failed so Ugin imprisoned them with the help of the lithomancer this is known as the Eye of Ugin. The planeswalkers left and went there different ways. As time passed by the Eldrazi laid dormant. The Eldrazi eventually tried to escape from the prison and was able to reach the surface of Zendikar and fed on the strong mana. Zendikar started to fight back and this is when Zendikar turned to its violent plane we know today.

The three planeswalkers returned to Zendikar to reinforce the spell and the Eldrazi were imprisoned again….Then a planeswalker from Alara decided to look at the plane…Nicol Bolas. Nicol Bolas sent in his devoted partner Sarkhan Vol. Sarkhan Vol was sent to guard the Eye of Ugin for unknown reasons he wasn’t aware of. Sarkhan Vol fended off a few foes but then the entrance to the Eye of Ugin became his solitude it drove him mad and he became Sarkhan the Mad!

Now Jace the Mind Sculptor and Chandra Ablaze are both in Zendikar…All three planeswalkers met up at the Eye of Ugin searching out its power. The spark of the three planeswalkers was enough to release the Eldrazi that were concealed in the Eye of Ugin. Now they must face a new threat the ancient Eldrazi…The three main Eldrazi that now terrorize Zendikar are Emrakul, Ulamog, and Kozilek!

Today we will be talking about a few Rise of Eldrazi spoilers! Like in every set Magic The Gathering has again surprised us with new card mechanics this time around. Today we will be looking at the ones released so far Annihilator, Rebound, Level Up, and Totem Armor.

Lets start off with Annihilator. Annihilator was one of the first mechanics spoiled with the card Kozilek, Butcher of Truth. Kozilek, Butcher of Truth is amazing card when I first saw it I was impressed. So now onto the mechanic Annihilator 4 is Kozilek, Butcher of Truth ability meaning when he attacks your opponent has to sacrifice 4 permanents. This mechanic is extremely helpful late game and can help turn the game around when your opponents have more board advantage than you. On the other hand Magic The Gathering has only been putting this ability on big creatures with high mana cost so of course you should run some form of mana ramp.

Next the new Rebound ability. Rebound is another great ability used in Rise of Eldrazi. Rebound seems to be only instant spells so far. Rebound states that if you play a card with Rebound then you can exile it as soon as it resolves only to get to play it again during your next upkeep. Of course it would probably make since to do this during your opponents attacking phase to be able to use it shortly after their turn. I really see no disadvantage to Rebound all of the cards so far seem to be cheap mana cost with the ability.

Now for Level Up ability. Level Up is a new mechanic to some creatures that if you pay so much mana they get stronger and new abilities. Level Up has been being debated since the moment it came out if it would be useful outside of a Rise of Eldrazi draft. The main reason why is this Level Up on some cards isn’t cheap and in the meta game there is alot of removal right now so to sink mana into a creature that could die shortly after would be pointless. Here is my idea some cards yes it would be pointless to sink mana into but also I believe some are worth it. Some of the cards released so far with Level Up haven’t seem to have the best end results maybe this will change peoples mind if they release better ones.

Finally Totem Armor a amazing new enchantment ability. Totem Armor is on regular enchantments but if the creature it is enchanted to is destroyed then you destroy the enchantment first. Kind of like a second life to me some of these enchantments released so far seem pretty nice plus giving my creature a extra life from removal and things like that. Downside to Totem Armor I don’t think there really is one unless the cards with Totem Armor become expensive mana cost but maybe then is it worth to give your creature a extra life?

Thats all for today guys tomorrow we will be releasing a whole page of spoilers of Rise of Eldrazi so stay tuned to Magic The Gathering Games!

So the last two are planeswalkers the first one if you guys read Purifying Flame then you will know there was a planeswalker known as Gideon. Gideon was a powerful planeswalker and many people thought he was going to be out in Zendikar. Now hes coming out in Rise of Eldrazi and rumored to be a white artifact planeswalker.

The last planeswalker looks familiar doesn’t it? It is supposed to be Sarkhan Vol. Sarkhan Vol was powerful in the shards set which making he average price around $15 (not as good as Elspeth apparently). Maybe we are going to see a big power boost to Sarkhan Vol in Rise of Eldrazi? His colors are unknown but some people are saying that he may be Jund colors but we havent seen many cards in Junds favor lately.

Stay tuned tomorrow for more Magic The Gathering news and deck lists!

Hello everyone! Today MTGG would like to let you guys know the cards to be ordering before Rise of Eldrazi and Scars of Mirrodin is released. Read more for more info! So we all know how Magic The Gathering works sets are released to make blocks and some cards in each set help make the previous or next set more stronger. Well MTGG has been analyzing and we have found a few cards that we will be talking to you guys about that you should order before Rise of Eldrazi and Scars of Mirrodin are released. Also make sure you stay tuned in tomorrow because we have a secret surprise for all of you deck builders!

The first card Matt and I looked at is Thada Adel, Acquisitor. This card will be great when running against artifact decks. Already in the standard metagame there is a few artifact decks with using Eldrazi Monument. With Thada Adel, Acquisitor you can take your opponents artifact cards and exile them to have them in your control shortly after! Another upside is that Thada Adel, Acquisitor only costs three to play and with islandwalk.

Thada Adel, Acquisitor is a great card using against artifacts and can turn the game around esepcially with the strong artifacts in Rise of Eldrazi. O wait I just released a Rise of Eldrazi spoiler! That”s right we will be releasing more spoilers so keep updated on MTGG!

I would recommend ordering some Thada Adel, Acquisitor for they are only going for $1.95 and the price is sure to go up as soon as more artifacts are released! We hope you stay tuned to Magic The Gathering Games for more info on your favorite game Magic The Gathering!
