Hello Magic The Gathering fans! If many of you haven’t known about the new multiplayer product that Wizards is coming out with now its time to look at them! Today MTGG covers the basics of Archenemy!

Archenemy is meant as a multiplayer format. What happens is that you and 2-4 opponents will play in a massive 2 Headed-Giant game! You will use your Archenemy deck and go first. You and your opponents play as a usual game but you start at 40 life and each of your opponents will start at 20. I know this may sound as a disadvantage but the Archenemy decks are meant to handle this many opponents!

You start out the game since you are the Archenemy. After your upkeep and draw phase comes you main phase this is were your oversize deck of 20 Archenemy cards come into effect. These cards are known as “schemes” and act as spells. So since the Archenemy schemes act as spells your opponents can play instants and abilities in response to your scheme. This could mean that your scheme could get negated and such.

There is a few different kinds of Archenemy schemes that might help you out when you play Archenemy. Ongoing schemes play out until the scheme says it needs abandoned, this can be simple such as a creature going to the graveyard. Please note that all other schemes unless printed on the card are put on the bottom of the scheme deck once they resolve just like any other spell.

The game plays out normal from there One vs. Many. The Archenemy deck could also be played against EDH decks as well. Also another format with Archenemy were everyone plays scheme deck! Stay tuned to Magic The Gathering Games to find decklists on the new Archenemy!

Hello everyone! Today MTGG would like to let you guys know the cards to be ordering before Rise of Eldrazi and Scars of Mirrodin is released. Read more for more info! So we all know how Magic The Gathering works sets are released to make blocks and some cards in each set help make the previous or next set more stronger. Well MTGG has been analyzing and we have found a few cards that we will be talking to you guys about that you should order before Rise of Eldrazi and Scars of Mirrodin are released. Also make sure you stay tuned in tomorrow because we have a secret surprise for all of you deck builders!

The first card Matt and I looked at is Thada Adel, Acquisitor. This card will be great when running against artifact decks. Already in the standard metagame there is a few artifact decks with using Eldrazi Monument. With Thada Adel, Acquisitor you can take your opponents artifact cards and exile them to have them in your control shortly after! Another upside is that Thada Adel, Acquisitor only costs three to play and with islandwalk.

Thada Adel, Acquisitor is a great card using against artifacts and can turn the game around esepcially with the strong artifacts in Rise of Eldrazi. O wait I just released a Rise of Eldrazi spoiler! That”s right we will be releasing more spoilers so keep updated on MTGG!

Hello fellow Magic the Gathering fan MTGG is once again telling you more about the newest block coming out Scars of Mirrodin read more!

So for those of you who have been looking on other Magic The Gathering sites Wizards has rumored a block known as “Lights” well “Lights” being a code name it is now released that the newest block that will take Shards of Alara place is Scars of Mirrodin! Those of you vetran players who were playing when Mirrodin was released are probably excited (I know we are)! We will be releasing all the info we can about this block as soon as we get information but for now I will leave you with a awesome picture.

MTGG covers the best colors and cards to use in Worldwake! This set looks awesome and I cant wait for the pre-release and release events!

Here is a few tips on Worldwake! There is alot of strong cards in this set and I would like to let people know some good colors to run in the prerelease and release events. Almost every color looks great in this set especially black. Some of the best color in the Zendikar draft were red/black vampires. I would say if you pulled a ultimate combo cards in your draft like Abbysal Prosecutor and Anowon, the Ruin Sage I would suggest running red black as well. Blue also looking very strong this set with Jace, the Mind Sculptor even though there hasn’t been very many mill cards in the set. Now a creature type that seems to be very strong in this set is allys. Allys are getting stronger and stronger in Zendikar they were ok but in Worldwake they have seemed to have gotten alot better! Allys in my opinion seemed to be like slivers working off each other to get stronger. There is a few ideas on what to run in Worldwake

All magic players must remember that the Worldwake release date is on Febuary 5, 2010! Maigc The Gathering Games thought that this month we would give you as much information as we can on the new set and how it will be doing in the standard metagame.

The awesome promo that you will receive if you are the first 20 people to pre-order a Worldwake booster box is Celestial Colonnade. It seems to be that Worldwake will also be having dual lands that seem to have been very popular in the last sets.  Celestial Colonnade seems to be a decent land but we will have to see how it fits into Worldwake, they seem to be bringing back the creature land abilities used last in Lorwyn.

Earlier today, we were treated to a sneak peek of the upcoming Worldwake Intro Packs, the small expansion set (code named ‘Long’) which is planned to come out in February, 2010.

As we expected, there are five different Intro Packs for Worldwake. Each pack contains a 41-card deck, 1 fixed foil rare, 1 random non-foil rare, 1 Worldwake booster pack, and a mechanics/rules insert.

The original post from a French on-line retailer causes some language translation grief for us but we believe we have the general gist of it now – just a warning – this is not yet official – get the corporate skinny from Wizards when it is released.

WORLDWAKE INTROPACKS

Fangs of the Bloodchief

Vampires: the most dangerous Zendikar predators. These will be what you utilize in the Fangs of the Bloodcheif Deck. With their help, you drain your enemies life points. Some Vampires have a capacity to multikick which makes them grow depending on the amount of mana you spend when you run. Smother is a returning card which can destroy a threat without it being able to regenerate. Many previous expansion cards can improve your Fangs Bloodchief deck such as Vampire Nocturnus which gives +2 / +1 and flying all your vampires as the top card of your deck is black.

Brute Force /

The Brute Force deck gives you the reins of the most titanic monsters of Zendikar. Whats better than to crush your enemy! You can find something to improve the deck’s force in the amazing expansion Worldwake. Great apes peaks is a 5 / 2 creature must be blocked by at least two creatures if you control a mountain, which is almost always the case. A more impressive card is certainly the storm of comets, an instant red inflicting as many wounds as you want as many different things as you want. You’re only limited by the amount of mana you have available!

Grapeshot /

With the Grapeshot deck, you crush the opposition with a sudden avalanche of creatures. The opponent will be dead before they know what is happening! Many of your creatures have capabilities that are triggered when you reach land on the battlefield. In Worldwake you find Kazuul, Tyrant of Cliffs, a brutal ogre who punishes opponents who attack you by generating 3/3 Ogre tokens unless they pay 3 for each attacking creature. You will also discover the Angel of admonition, a creature flying 6/6 Angel which exiles an opponent’s permanent whenever a land comes on the battlefield under your control. These permanent return if the Angel of the admonition leaves the battlefield, but your opponent will not have enough time to before your victory!

Mysterious Realms /

With the Mysterious Realms deck, you unleash on your enemies a horde of dangerous creatures from the wilds of Zendikar. Many of your creatures need room to run. Thanks to landfall, they earn bonuses each time a land comes on the battlefield under your control. In the extension Worldwake you find Explorer, a ritual that lets you draw a card and play an additional land, and therefore potentially triggering your creatures landfall ability twice during the same round. You will also find Zendikar of the Avenger, which creates an 0/1 Elemental creature tokens when it arrives on the battlefield only to grow each turn!

Soaring /

The Soaring deck puts you in command of a squadron of flying creatures. Unleash this aerial reign of terror on your enemies! Creatures with evasion will do the dirty work for you. The extension contains Worldwake other compatible cards with the Soaring deck . The Zendikar wind transforms a land into an extra flying creature extra for air force. The Merfolk of Seijiri is a blue creature that becomes more powerful if you control a plains, which is almost always the case. Jace, Mind Sculptor is a Planeswalker powers of mental confusion that you can call your side. He mills your’s opponent’s library and eventually exiles it to fully guarantee victory.

There has been many rumors going around about the new Worldwake Planeswalker. Most of you have herd it is expected to be Jace Beleren remake much like how Chandra Ablaze was remade. This is thought to be the only Planeswalker in Worldwake.

Jace is expected to arrive in Zendikar because of the way the newest web comic ended. The new Jace Beleren expected name is Jace Beleren The Mind Sculptor. The new Jace is suppose to exile not only your graveyard but your deck! I think that the new Jace maybe the one MTG is going to start revealing December 14. The only thing I see a problem is the way the card will be redone. The reason I say that is because of Chandra Ablaze, she cost too much mana especially to be put in a red burn deck that the Planeswalker is meant for. I fear that maybe the new Jace in Worldwake will have the same problem, too high of mana cost and or the ability downside from its predecessor. Zach here from MTGG I wanted to tell you all about how awesome the Premium Deck Slivers is! I got the Premium Deck Slivers today and I loved it as soon as I opened it. The deck is amazing if you do remember the whole deck is foil.

In my opinion Slivers are one of the best races ever released in Magic The Gathering they all work the best with each other one gives one double strike, poison, etc… The one thing I love about the deck is that it is all foil, making the deck more appealing I assume Magic The Gathering did this because the deck was Slivers and wanted to make it seem special. The other thing I love about Premium Deck Slivers is the spin down dice counter and foil deck box are both awesome and also make the whole set more appealing.

The Premium Deck Slivers is a awesome deck taking alot of  the Slivers from past sets and put them into a 5 colored deck. Keep in mind that alot of your peers who play against the Premium Deck Slivers will hate you and hate you because most decks wont stand up to the deck very well and they will get annoyed but its all around a great deck. I would suggest if you had the money to buy the deck even if you dont use it that much because it is still great and fun to play. I played Matt with the deck against his Spread Em’ deck and I remember when Matt played Convincing Mirage I asked “What color are you gonna change my forest.” Matt simply replied with dismay “I’ll make the forest……..a forest.” O the power of Gemhide Sliver.
